He is widely credited for a vital role in turning the Raptors franchise into a competitor after joining the club in 2013 as executive vice president and general manager. His highpoint in Toronto culminated in the 2019 NBA championship. In recent years the club’s fortunes have soured, missing the playoffs this past season for the third season in a row.
