Scrappy Blazers Hit Threes, Fight Hard vs. Suns

The Portland Trail Blazers faced the star-studded Phoenix Suns on Sunday evening with a depleted roster. Portland suited up eight players, only half of whom anybody would recognize. Despite that, they gave Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal all they could handle. After a huge offensive first quarter for both teams, Phoenix took control of the game to lead by as many as 17. But the Blazers employed hard work and 20-42 three-point shooting to whittle the margin back to 4 in the fourth period. The Suns veterans would prevail, giving their team a 127-116 victory, but it was certainly more of a contest than the Blazers produced on their recent extended road trip.
