Walk into Keely Jacobson’s classroom at West Linn High School and you will soon realize why Trail Blazer fans call her “The Sign Lady.” The math teacher’s walls are covered with her handmade signs that have become synonymous with the Moda Center over the past six years. Alongside her signs, Keely’s classroom is adorned with a “retired” collection of past Trail Blazers jerseys, a squad of player bobble heads, and an assortment of other Portland memorabilia she has amassed through the years.
“I started hanging the signs when my students began recognizing me on TV. So now whenever I know one made it, I date it, and bring it in to the wall of successes,” she said.
