You might remember Chauncey Billups and Richard “Rip” Hamilton as teammates on the Detroit Pistons from 2002-2008, helping the Pistons win the championship in 2004. Now Hamilton is endorsing his former teammate and friend to become the next coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.
“Chauncey wants to coach right now. Hopefully, he gets his opportunity,” Hamilton told TMZ Sports.
