Report: Raptors Fire Coach Dwane Casey

The NBA’s coaching carousel took another spin on Friday morning, as the Toronto Raptors are reportedly parting ways with head coach Dwane Casey, who had been with the team for seven seasons.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

Casey was recently voted the Coach of the Year by the NBCA and is considered a front-runner for the NBA’s Coach of the Year award. He guided the Raptors to a franchise record 59 wins this season, earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The team was recently swept in the second round of the playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
