The preseason – everyone’s favorite collection of five games that don’t matter. However, while the Portland Trail Blazers 3-2 record in these games will mean nothing come this Thursday, we can look at their team stats and see how this current iteration of the club may differ from last year’s.
Of course, take all these assessments with a grain of salt. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum will play more than 22 minutes per game. Jake Layman won’t start. Coach Terry Stotts won’t play all of his players every night.
But some of the numbers from preseason will point to trends that we will continue to see in the Blazers’ games that actually matter.
