Free agent guard Bryce McGowens has signed a two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported. McGowens, 22, spent last season on a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
McGowens’ playing time with the Trail Blazers was limited in his lone season with the franchise. The 6-foot-7 guard averaged just 2.5 minutes per game in 13 appearances. However, he was heavily featured as a prolific scorer on the Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix.
McGowens led the G League in scoring with 29.3 points per game, to go along with 4.
