New Orleans disappointed in the NBA restart games. They were expected to contend for the play-in series, but only won two of their eight games and ended the season in last place among Western Conference bubble teams.
Gentry spent five seasons with the Pelicans after serving as an assistant under Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors.
