NBA Power Rankings: Despite a two-game absence from a banged-up Steph Curry, the Warriors remain safe at No. 1. But a few streaking teams are climbing Marc Stein's latest rankings. See where all 30 stand to start 2016.

It ended with bruised legs that seemed to keep getting kicked as the calendar year wound down, but you figure Stephen Curry is deeply going to miss 2015 after it treated him and the Golden State Warriors so well.

Despite Curry being limited to 14 minutes of court time in the Warriors' past three games, they indeed secured the league's highest-ever winning percentage to take into a new year last week at .938, thanks to a record of 30-2 that has since been hiked to 31-2.

Curry's Dubs also managed to post a record of 72-12 over the past calendar year, good for second all-time behind the 74 wins recorded by the Chicago Bulls in the calendar year of 1996.
