The NBA and the Miami Heat are looking into an online incident involving former Portland Trail Blazers F/C Meyers Leonard, who uttered an anti-Semitic slur during a Twitch stream. Leonard was streaming Call of Duty when he broadcast the slur. Blazer’s Edge will not repost the video, which was initially tweeted by MainTeamSports this morning.
Condemnation of Leonard gained steam throughout the afternoon, coming to the attention of the league and of the Heat, Leonard’s current team.
NBA spokesman Mike Bass statement on Meyers Leonard, who said an anti-Semitic slur on a video game stream: “We just became aware of the video and are in the process of gathering more information.
