While the Trail Blazers’ 2000’s Night featured former players Travis Outlaw and Damon Stoudamire, there was another key figure present - Mike Barrett.
Barrett was the television voice of the Trail Blazers from 2003 until 2016, when he and color commentator Mike Rice were let go by the team.
Barrett spoke to Jamie Hudson, and he expressed nothing but love for his time as the voice of the Trail Blazers:
“It’s been great,” Barrett said of his return to Moda Center. “I think we take for granted in this business sometimes the connectivity and the emotion and the relationship you have with fans.
