The Portland Trail Blazers made a mistake when they inked Jerami Grant to a massive five-year, $160 million deal in the 2023 offseason.
Prior to his injury, Grant was in the midst of a bounce-back 2025-26 season, averaging 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists on 44/39/87 shooting splits. That's perfect timing for Portland as they could finally look to correct this mistake by the Feb. 5 trade deadline.
Previously considered one of the worst contracts in the league, there actually appears to be somewhat of a market for Portland's overpaid veteran this trade season.
