Hood Ruptures Left Achilles, Likely Out For The Season

PORTLAND -- It's been a rough start to the 2019-20 season for the Portland Trail Blazers, especially in regard to injuries. And it got a whole lot worse Friday night.

Trail Blazers forward Rodney Hood suffered a torn left Achilles tendon in the first quarter of Friday night's game versus the Lakers at the Moda Center.

Hood went down while trying to corral a rebound with 3:27 to play in the first quarter and had to be helped to the locker room. And MRI later revealed a torn left Achilles, meaning it is all but certain that the 6-8 forward will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season, and perhaps longer.
