Haynes: MRI Confirms Groin Strain for Damian Lillard; 1-2 Week Recovery

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard had an MRI on Thursday that confirmed a groin strain, with the injury expected to demand a 1-2 week recovery, according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes. Lillard left early in Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies and headed back to the locker room after the injury occurred.

The franchise star is using the upcoming All-Star break to focus on his recovery and get healthy for the Blazers’ playoff push. He dropped out of the NBA All-Star Game and 3-Point Contest but will perform musically on Saturday as Dame DOLLA.
