By Cody Sharrett — The Portland Trail Blazers (3-2) return home to Moda Center on Thursday to host the Memphis Grizzlies (3-2) following a successful two-game road trip to Minnesota and Utah.
Portland notched wins against both Northwest Division rivals, topping the Timberwolves 106-101 on Monday in Minneapolis before besting the Jazz 108-92 in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. Thursday’s meeting with the Grizzlies marks the first matchup since the teams clashed in the First Round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs. Memphis took the best-of-seven series in April, 4-1.
Through five games in 2015-16, the Trail Blazers’ backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum lead the team in scoring with 27.
