Pat Connaughton, the former Portland Trail Blazer and current Milwaukee Buck, drew attention recently due to his performance in the NBA All-Star Dunk Contest. But as Scott Cacciola of the New York Times notes, that isn’t the only move Connaughton has made lately. In fact, he is developing a career for himself outside of basketball in real estate, and he has recruited former teammates such as CJ McCollum to invest in his projects.
One day, McCollum was telling Connaughton about his budding interest in real estate. It was like catnip for Connaughton, who started cluttering McCollum’s email inbox with information about everything from purchasing land to acquiring permits.
