COVID-19 Cropping Up in Training Camps of Multiple Franchises

The NBA and other professional sports leagues are in the beginning stages of resuming and/or starting their seasons after the COVID-19 virus shut down sports across the world this spring. If today’s news is any indication, results are not promising. Six teams across three leagues have reported incidences of COVID-19 within the last eight hours. They include the Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49’ers of the NFL, and the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.

Here is the rundown:

The NBA is scheduled to resume their 2019-20 season on July 30th.
