Carmelo Anthony Not Expected to Play Until Tuesday

Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony is not expected to take the floor any sooner than Tuesday, when the Blazers face the New Orleans Pelicans. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Anthony must pass a physical before he suits up for Portland.

Anthony averaged 13.4 points in 29.4 minutes per game, shooting 40.5% from the floor and 32.8% from the three-point arc playing for the Houston Rockets last season. He appeared in only 10 games and has not played since.

The Blazers will face the Spurs on Saturday and the Rockets on Monday.
