Long-tenured and beloved Trail Blazers play-by-play radio voice Brian Wheeler will return to the sideline next Monday when the Blazers take on the Denver Nuggets. Wheeler received an extension just before training camp started, but has been sidelined with health issues. Former Portland radio and TV personality Scott Lynn has filled in for Wheeler during his absence.
Wheeler has missed the season’s first 12 games as he battled scrotal lymphedema, a condition that sidelined him four games during the 2013 season.
