The Portland Trail Blazers have officially announced the new assistant coaching hires of Tiago Splitter, Patrick St. Andrews and Quinton Crawford. Additionally, the organization announced Rip City Remix assistant coach Leron Black has been promoted to a Trail Blazers player development coach.
The hiring of Crawford was initially reported at the end of May, and the hirings of Splitter and St. Andrews were reported on June 7. However, the promotion of Black had not been reported until the team’s official announcement on Wednesday.
Black spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach and director of video for the Remix, Portland’s G League affiliate.
