Blazers’ Hezonja to Honor Petrovic With Jersey Number

The Trail Blazers introduced two free agent acquisitions today: Anthony Tolliver and Mario Hezonja. Tolliver, a 34-year-old power forward, signed a one-year deal worth $2.6 million on Monday. Hezonja, a former lottery lottery selection, signed a two-year deal on Sunday that includes a player option.

In the Blazers’ press release on the signings, President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey said the following about Tolliver:

“Anthony is a consummate professional with an elite skill that will translate immediately into our system while providing leadership in our locker room.”

In front of the assembled media, the Tolliver spoke about lessons he learned from his time as a role player in the NBA (via KGW’s Orlando Sanchez).
