The Trail Blazers have maintained their spot as the sixth seed despite not playing since Monday. Portland now has a two game cushion over the Rockets, Jazz, and Mavericks. With only seven games remaining every bit of help gets them closer to clinching a very unlikely playoff berth. Last night featured three teams in the tight Western Conference Playoffs race and two of the three suffered defeats.
The Mavericks were the lone winners, but they didn’t make it look easy. A late collapse by the Knicks sealed the victory for the struggling Dallas squad. Despite the win, they still sit on the outside looking in at the playoffs.
