Blazers’ Anfernee Simons Excluded From Clutch Player of the Year Voting

Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons came through in the clutch this season many times for his team.

The NBA defines “clutch play” as any game where it is within five points with five minutes to go. Among all NBA players, Simons averaged 4.4 points per game in these situations, which came second in the league behind DeMar DeRozan for players who had 15 or more games in the clutch.

However, the NBA announced its Clutch Player of the Year voting and Simons was nowhere to be found on the list.

The complete voting results for the 2023-24 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year.
