Billy Donovan Agrees to Become Next Head Coach of the Chicago Bulls

Billy Donovan has agreed to a deal to become the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Chicago previously let go of former head coach Jim Boylen in May. Bulls executive Arturas Karnisovas “aggressively” pursued Donovan after he mutually split ways with the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this month, per Wojnarowski:

Bulls Executive VP of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas aggressively pursued Donovan in the aftermath of Donovan’s leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder after five seasons, sources said, selling Donovan on a partnership and vision for a talented young roster and chance to lead one of the league’s anchor franchises.
