Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons appears to be on the verge of returning from a right thumb injury that has kept him out of the lineup since the season opener on Oct. 25.
According to Sean Highkin of the Rose Garden Report, Simons is considered “day-to-day” now on the injury report.
Similar to Highkin’s update, Trail Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl reported Simons participated through most of the team’s practice today and fellow Portland guard Malcolm Brogdon said he looked great. According to Holdahl, when asked about when Simons could potentially return to play, Trail Blazers Head Coach Chauncey Billups gave this response:
