Regardless of their on-court jawing, Damian Lillard and Draymond Green appear to have a sturdy relationship. According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, that relationship has led to Lillard openly mentioning his desire to add the Warriors stalwart to the Blazers’ roster.
On Monday’s edition of The Athletic NBA Show, amid discussion of Green’s return to the floor, Amick briefly riffed on Lillard’s potential interest.
“If we were handicapping Draymond trade destinations if the Warriors decided to blow it up—that’s the one [the Blazers]. Damian and his group have for the last couple years been campaigning for that.
