The Portland Timbers' USL team, T2, opened training camp in mid-February with a new coach and a handful of new young players.
The Timbers' tweaked their approach to T2 in the offseason, bringing in former Timbers academy coach Andrew Gregor to lead the team and signing a number of younger, up-and-coming players from abroad ahead of the 2016 USL season.
While T2 has only been training for a couple weeks, Timbers coach Caleb Porter said that he has been pleased with what he's seeing from the club.
"We're really pleased so far with what we're seeing," Porter said.
