ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Portland Timbers were defeated 2-1 by Minnesota United FC in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinal Wednesday night at Allianz Field. Brian Fernandez scored the lone goal for Portland while the Loons were paced by tallies from Darwin Quintero and Mason Toye.
