Timbers trade $100,000 in GAM to Cincy in exchange for international roster slot

The Portland Timbers have made a trade. The club announced on Wednesday that they have given FC Cincinnati $100,000 in General Allocation Money in exchange for a 2021 international roster slot.

This is not the first time that the two sides have exchanged money for international slots this year. Back in April, the Timbers actually gave Cincinnati an international roster spot in exchange for $225,000 in General Allocation Money. Now it seems that the Timbers have gotten that slot right back.

The Timbers also traded striker Fanendo Adi to the club back in 2018 when Cincinnati was a part of the USL.
