The Portland Timbers announced on Tuesday that they have officially completed the transfer of Felipe Mora from Pumas UNAM in Liga MX, signing the forward to a new contract using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) . It was a move that was reported to be happening by Tom Bogert of MLSsoccer.com earlier this month.
Bringing Mora permanently to Portland was one of the club’s main goals for the offseason, as the Chilean forward was a key part of their attack in 2020. Mora came over on a one-year loan last season and had seven goals and two assists in 19 regular season appearances (13 starts).
