PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair was named the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week by the NWSL Media Association for Week 2, it was announced today. With Sinclair being recognized, it marks the second consecutive week a Portland player has been named Player of the Week after Tobin Heath received the honor for Week 1.
Sinclair, 35, helped Thorns FC earn a point on the road with her second career hat-trick in a 4-4 draw against the Chicago Red Stars on April 20.
