PORTLAND, Ore. – Following the conclusion of the 2018 National Women’s Soccer League season, four Portland Thorns FC players were named recipients of club awards for the 2018 campaign.
Highlighting this season’s list of award winners in the club’s sixth season are midfielder Lindsey Horan, defenders Emily Menges and Emily Sonnett and forward Christine Sinclair.
Most Valuable Player; Golden Boot – Lindsey Horan
One of 15 nominees for the Ballon D’Or, midfielder Lindsey Horan finished with a team-best 13 goals, which ranked third in the NWSL in 2018.
