The Portland Timbers' first trip under head coach Giovanni Savarese was to Tucson, Arizona, three years ago. Back then, Arizona was an annual preseason destination for the team. Now, after splitting their 2020 preparation time between Costa Rica and Portland, the Timbers are back in Tucson, giving us a chance to look at then versus now: how the players and staff still with the team have changed during the Savarese era.
