The Portland Thorns announced today that seven players have been called up by their respective national teams for the October FIFA international break. Becky Sauerbrunn, Lindsey Horan and Sophia Smith were called up to the U.S. Women’s National Team. Christine Sinclair will play with Canada, Natalia Kuikka with Finland, Rocky Rodriguez with Costa Rica and Olivia Moultrie was called up to the U.S. U-20 camp.
Horan, Sauerbrunn and Smith will play Korea Republic in Kansas City, KS and St. Paul, MN on Oct. 21 and Oct. 26 respectively. The first match will be broadcast on ESPN2 and TUDN.
