Thorns FC close out the NWSL Fall Series Saturday when they face OL Reign in Tacoma (5pm PT, Twitch). Currently sitting atop the standings, the Thorns have a shot to win the Verizon Community Shield and earn a $25,000 grant for their chosen partner, Mimi's Fresh Tees. The Fall Series’ second-place finishers win $15,000 for their partners; third place earns a $10,000 grant.
Thorns will clinch Verizon Community Shield without using any tiebreakers with:
- A win
OR
- A draw AND a Houston loss or draw vs Orlando
OR
- A loss AND a Houston loss vs Orlando AND Sky Blue win or draw vs Chicago AND North Carolina draw vs Orlando AND Utah win or draw vs OL Reign
