SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica – The Portland Timbers defeated C.S. Herediano 3-0, in the last match of their Costa Rica portion of the 2020 preseason presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky.
Playing four separate 30-minute sessions, Portland went out to a 1-0 lead in the first session when forward Felipe Mora scored his second goal of the preseason off an indirect free kick inside the Herediano 18-yard box.
Halfway through the final 30-minute session, Portland doubled their lead as attacker Dairon Asprilla broke forward through the Herediano line to slot a ball into the lower right corner and make the score 2-0.
