The Portland Thorns (5-5-5) host the Utah Royals (5-3-6) tonight at Providence Park in the last regular-season matchup of 2018 between the two teams. Portland are coming off of a week where they dropped points in two important games and must start putting together results if they want to make the playoffs. The Thorns will be missing two key defenders in Meghan Klingenberg, who was suspended by the Disciplinary Committee this week, and Katherine Reynolds, who is out on an excused absence. Tobin Heath, Midge Purce, and Emily Menges, however, will all be available. Christen Press will make her Portland debut for the Royals after returning from Sweden to join the club.
