The Portland Timbers are on the road for their match against the Philadelphia Union. It’s the first time the squad has been to the east coast for a regular season match since 2019. That’s a big deal in and of itself, but this game is already significant just because of the two teams that are playing.
The Timbers — who are still down several players due to some horrific injury luck — have a chance to win their third match in a row this evening with a win in Philly. The Union, meanwhile, have the chance to show that they are still a dominant force in the Eastern Conference.
