Game 2 of the road trip is coming shortly. The Portland Timbers are in Texas for their matchup against Austin FC. It will be the second time that the two teams have faced off this season, the first time being ... not so great. It was one of far too many three-goal losses for Portland, a 4-1 drubbing put on by the expansion side.
The good news is that Portland got a positive result earlier this week. The draw against Sporting Kansas City was good, and while it would have been preferable to have earned three points instead of one, anything is better than a multi-goal loss.
