MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Despite scoring a goal in each half, the Portland Timbers lost 3-2 to Minnesota United FC Wednesday night at TCF Bank Stadium. Portland goals came from Diego Valeri–his team-leading ninth of the season–and an own goal set up by defender Vytas.
