AUSTIN, Texas - First-half goals by midfielders Jon Gallagher and Diego Fagundez helped Austin FC to a 4-1 win over the Portland Timbers a Q2 Stadium on Thursday evening. As part of the first-half scoring, Timbers striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored in stoppage time, but Portland's bid at another comeback result was ended when Austin's Alex Ring scored late in the second half to continue Austin's highest scoring output of the campaign.
The match at Austin FC was the fourth match for the Timbers in 13 days, since returning to play from the recent international break on June 19.
