Katherine Reynolds Undergoes Season Ending Knee Surgery

Related Topics: Season, Surgery, Sky Blue FC

Katherine Reynolds underwent successful surgery to repair a torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) in her right knee, the club announced today. The rehabilitation process from the surgery will keep her out for the rest of the season. Reynolds picked up the injury in the first half of the 2-1 victory against Sky Blue FC.

Reynolds has been an important influence in the early part of the season while Emily Menges recovered from a stress fracture picked up in preseason. Whether in central defense or as a fullback, Reynolds played almost every single minute she was available. Her 1,419 minutes logged are third this season behind Christine Sinclair and Lindsey Horan.
