Stumptown, the Oni Press graphic novel written by Portland resident and Timbers fan Greg Rucka, is a story about a private investigator, Dex Parios, and her adventures in the Rose City. Inspired by old 80s detective shows like The Rockford Files and Magnum, P.I., Parios works within a fictionalized and grittier version of Portland.
Parios, and her younger brother, Ansel, are also big time Portland Timbers fans.
Now the Stumptown of the comics is becoming the Stumptown of television as it features in one of ABC's new fall shows, starring Cobie Smulders as Parios, and premiering tonight at 10pm PT on KATU.
