With the January transfer window soon upon us, it appears the Portland Timbers have been thrown once again into the mix. Apparently, the Timbers are considering loaning forward Jeremy Ebobisse to a team in German 2. Bundesliga, sources told ESPN. ESPN also reported that a club Europe offered Portland $1.5 million for midfielder Eryk Willliamson.
Loaning Ebobisse to another club would be an interesting move considering the current state of the striker position. Jaroslaw Niezgoda tore his ACL back in November and will likely miss a good chunk of the season and it’s still unknown whether or not Felipe Mora will be back with the club.
