Eryk Williamson signs multi-year extension with Timbers

The Portland Timbers announced on Thursday that they have signed midfielder Eryk Williamson to a multi-year contract extension.

Williamson had a breakout year for the Timbers in 2020, tallying three goals and six assists in 26 appearances (22 starts) across all competitions. His most notable assist was his game-winning one back in August during the MLS is Back Tournament Final against Orlando City SC.

Williamson has been with the club since 2018, back when Portland acquired his MLS Homegrown Player rights from D.C. United. In his career, Williamson has made 35 appearances (25 starts) for the Timbers, with all his goals and assists coming this year.
