There will be no snubbing this time. Portland Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson has been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup this July. He will report to Kansas City for a training camp with the team on July 5.
Williamson has had a stellar year so far for the Timbers. In 10 appearances (eight starts), Williamson has notched a goal and two assists while also being a strong presence defensively. He was named to the MLS Team of the Week (Week 5) after earning two assists in a win over the San Jose Earthquakes.
