Three Portland Thorns FC players — Bella Bixby, Meghan Klingenberg, and Emily Menges — were named to the NWSL Team of the Month for July.
Bella Bixby kept clean sheets against Racing Louisville FC, NJ/NY Gotham FC, and the Houston Dash in the month of July. She only conceded one goal in July when Marisa Viggiano scored in added time for the Orlando Pride. Bixby ended July with a 92% save percentage and guided Portland to an unbeaten record in July.
Meghan Klingenberg was also named to the NWSL Team of the Month.
