TEMPE, Ariz. – Portland women's tennis players Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge capped the most impressive doubles campaign in program history by coming in at No. 69 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national doubles rankings.
Zelic and Pethybridge were dominant all year with a 24-7 overall record and became the first Portland doubles team to be nationally ranked. The duo started strong with a tremendous fall season that culminated with a Round of 16 appearance at the ITA Fall National Championships.
They then went 12-2 in dual doubles matches this spring, including a 3-1 record against league opponents at the top of the lineup to earn honorable mention All-West Coast Conference honors in a stacked league.
