PORTLAND, Ore.--- The Portland women's track and field program has added Vernell Warren, a two-sport standout from the University of Oregon, ahead of the 2020 indoor track season. Warren also graduated locally from Grant High School, where he competed in both baseball and track and field.
"For many years the Pilots have had great success in cross country and on the distance side of track and field," said Warren. "I am excited to continue to grow and expand the sprints, hurdles and jumping events."
Warren comes to Portland with coaching experience, having spent the last five years at Westview High School where he was the head sprint coach and an assistant with jumping events.
