PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots defeated crosstown rival Portland State by a 5-2 margin on Friday in a non-conference women's tennis match at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center. Portland improves to 2-2 with the win, while the Vikings drop to 1-3 this spring.
Portland opened by claiming the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. Jana Tanevska and Angela Schuster won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and then Jelena Lukic and Neli Sunjic clinched with a 6-2 win at the No. 1 position.
The Pilots then won the top four singles matches to secure the win.
